Where’s Tesla? Top Tech Companies File Opposition to Trump’s Immigration Ban and Tesla isn’t One of Them

Trying not to get all political here but these politics relate to tech and business so it’s cool.

Major tech companies like Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, Netflix and more have filed an amicus brief in a Washington state court that opposes The Donald’s executive order on immigration. 97 firms have added their names to the document in an effort to fight what many consider to be a Muslim ban.

The Amicus States:

  1. “The Order represents a significant departure from the principles of fairness and predictability that have governed the immigration system of the United States for more than fifty years,”
  2. The ban “inflicts significant harm on American business, innovation, and growth,” disrupting current operations, and making it “more difficult and expensive for US companies to recruit, hire, and retain some of the world’s best employees.”

To Each Is Own

Major tech comps are banning together and taking a stand against some of Trump’s policies. Noticeably missing is Elon Musk’s Tesla & SpaceX. Elon believes his interest are better served by remaining a dutiful member of Trump’s economic advisory board.

Can’t be mad at that, we all have choices…

Dang and I had my eye on buying one of those snazzy Teslas too. Oh well… Let’s see how things pan out.
